Andrey Rublev Extends Head-to-Head Advantage Over Felix Auger-Aliassime in Marseille Open Final

Fierce Rivalry Intensifies as Rublev Clinches Fourth Victory in Five Meetings

Highlights of the Title Showdown

Andrey Rublev has once again emerged victorious over Felix Auger-Aliassime, extending his head-to-head advantage to 4-1 with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6 (4) victory in the final of the Open 13 tournament in Marseille, France.

The match was a tense affair, with both players showcasing their impressive skills. Rublev, the second seed, displayed his trademark powerful serve and aggressive baseline play, while Auger-Aliassime, the third seed, relied on his fluid movement and precise shot-making.

Despite a strong start from Auger-Aliassime, who broke Rublev's serve to take an early 3-1 lead, the Russian fought back to level the set. Both players held their serve until the 12th game, when Rublev broke again to seal the opening set 7-5.

The second set was equally tight, with neither player able to break the other's serve. The set went into a tiebreaker, where Rublev's experience and composure proved pivotal. He won the tiebreaker 7-4 to clinch the victory.

The win marked Rublev's second title of the season, after his triumph at the Adelaide International 2 earlier in the year. It also strengthened his position in the ATP rankings, where he is currently ranked sixth.

For Auger-Aliassime, the defeat was a disappointment, but it should not diminish the progress he has made in recent months. The Canadian has risen to 11th in the rankings and is still one of the most promising young players on the ATP tour.
